Hifz Course

What age do you accept admissions?

For the Hifz program, students are typically admitted after completing third grade, usually around 9–10 years of age.

How long does the Hifz course take?

On average, the program takes 3–5 years to complete. Some students may finish sooner depending on their pace and dedication.

What is Nazirah?

Nazirah is the foundational stage of learning to read the Qur’an. It includes mastering the Arabic alphabet and applying the rules of Tajweed. Students complete Nazirah by reciting the entire Qur’an to a teacher. Upon completion, they begin memorization (Hifz).

How many students are in each class?

Each class typically consists of 10–15 students to ensure focused attention and effective learning.

Do teachers instruct in English?

Yes, instruction is primarily conducted in English.

How do you ensure students retain what they have memorized?

Students are required to review (Daur) their memorization daily. In addition, office tests are conducted after every five juz to ensure retention.

What does it take to graduate as a Hafiz?

To graduate, a student must recite the entire Qur’an in one day to their Ustaadh after having completed a minimum of ten revisions.

Is physical discipline used in the classroom?

No, physical discipline is strictly prohibited. Student discipline is managed through appropriate measures such as loss of privileges, parent communication, and, if necessary, suspension.

What are the daily assignments for Hifz students?

Students are given five daily assignments:

  1. Sabaq (new lesson)
  2. Para Sabaq (revision of recent lessons)
  3. Amukta (revision of older lessons)
  4. Sabaq Nazirah (preparing new lesson)
  5. Tilawah (general recitation)

What is the shortest time a student has completed Hifz at your madrasah?

The fastest completion time recorded at our madrasah is 13 months.


Alim Course

What are the requirements to enroll in the Alim Course?

Students must be able to read the Qur’an fluently and be prepared to commit full-time to the program. A basic ability to read and understand English is also required.

What is the minimum age for enrollment?

Students may enroll from the age of 13.

How long is the Alim Course?

The full Alim Course is 7 years.

Do you offer all seven years at your institute?

Currently, we offer the first five years of the program. InshaAllah, we plan to gradually open the remaining years.

What happens after completing five years at your institute?

Students typically transfer to other institutions to complete their studies.

What is the medium of instruction?

All classes are conducted in English.

Do you offer Qira’at as part of the program?

Yes, Qira’at is offered to select students.
